Vintage scrapbooking supplies

A few years back my mother-in-law was having a clean out and was about to throw away the tattered and ripped tape measure she had inherited from HER mother.

I practically ripped it out of her hands and said I would take it. She was a bit bemused, as it was so worn out.

And here it is, straight and curled and tied into bows and in a variety of colours.

Continuing the vintage theme, the "Totally Trashed the Woodwork" papers are also released at The Lilypad today:

I used both to scrap some old family photos.

Color Block templates for a quick, cohesive photobook

New in store at Designer Digitals are a set of new digital scrapbooking templates for a photobook album featuring large blocks of color.

I used them to scrap the Book Day celebrations at Daughter-Two's school.

Because she could fit into my old black jacket, my shopping list for her costume this year was simply  "a white shirt and a gun."

I also used it them to scrap The Husband's cellphone pics of a backroom tour of the museum storehouse

Top Ten travel pages

Just the pages from my travel photobooks that bring me the most pleasure to look back at....

1. Two Takes (When you fly from New Zealand to Los Angeles you get two takes at the same day)

2. Chateau-Thierry (a lunch stop on a long drive through France. It was deserted and dreary but a great photoshoot location)

3. Hoover Dam (Not a trip of ours, but one that my parents made and was so much fun to scrap)
Travel photobook layout 3

4. Singapore Zoo (our most recent trip, and we loved seeing the old sign which had a picture of a tiger at the same place we had caught a bus to the zoo from)

5. Morro Bay (late afternoon on the Californian coast = photo heaven)

6. Kehl, Germany (the colours in this town were wonderful and I had fun bringing them out in the layout)

9. Vitre, France (happily sitting and telling a story to herself as we consulted a map on a wander round just another stunning French town)

10. Mono Lake (an unearthly place, especially in the depths of winter with the snow heavy on the ground and the coyotes howling)
