Adventure Boxed templates for digital scrapbookers
One of my scrapping highlights last year was the photobook of our trip to France and Germany (with stopovers in Singapore) using the "Adventure Boxed" digital scrapbooking photobook templates. Although I really shouldn't look back at them because it's dangerous (I may find myself back on homeexchange.com before I know it).Using templates makes the process of scrapping travel photos incredibly quick and painless (which is why I always end up designing a set for every trip we take!) but these ones they are just "messy" enough to add a more creative feel than a standard boxed template. (Like all templates from Designer Digitals, they come with complete instructions)

Since most of my photos were quite dull (thanks to the greyest, wettest spring for years - just our luck) I had fun using color overlays to give them a boost and to make the pages more cohesive (by using the same colours on all the photos).
To do this I duplicate the photo layer and add a color overlay to the top photo. Usually on "overlay" or "soft light" mode but experiment with what you like best. Then I would use a soft erasing brush to erase away some of that top recolored photo to reveal the original beneath. It's easy and fun and you can be as subtle or as dramatic as you want.
For example, in the second spread down I used green, in the fourth I used gold and in the sixth I used pink.
The "Adventure Boxed" photobook templates also come in 8.5" x 11"
Although perfect for travel photobook albums, Jen used the (square) templates for a great sports spread:
As did the queen of sports layouts, Wendy:
And Esther used it to scrap a school production:
